Coaches Education At CCAK/USST Camp

Hello Alaska Ski Coaches,

Cross Country Alaska (CCAK) is pleased to announce the details of our upcoming Development Training Camp, held in cooperation with the US Ski Team coaching staff. The camp, which will be held in Anchorage from July 11-15, is for a select group of Alaskan cross-country skiers. The US Ski Team Development Coach, Matt Whitcomb, will be on hand to help lead all the camp workouts. Note: The US Ski Team athletes will not be there, though we may have a few top Alaskan seniors. Sorry for any confusion on this point.

The camp will be an excellent opportunity for all coaches. Coaches are welcome to observe or participate in any of the training sessions. We will be calling on some of our more experienced coaches to lead a session or two. If you would like to lead a session, please let me know ( info@crosscountryalaska.org).

There is no fee to attend the camp.

COACHES FORUM

On Friday night during the camp, July 14, we will have a coaches forum at 6:30 PM at Ja & Joey's house . Matt Whitcomb and a few other coaches will lead a discussion about planning your training year, and how to go about executing that plan. This is an excellent opportunity to ask any questions you might have about cross-country ski training, and discuss ideas with your fellow coaches from around the state.
